This is my first post on Blogger. I'm here to write something about 'Dance'.
DANCE is a passion for me, its my life.
When I was 2 years old I started learning about Dance. It was started with "BHARATANATYAM" (Bengali- ভরতনাট্ট্যম).
So, in my first post I want to describe something about this form of dance.
BHARATANATYAM (Bengali- ভরতনাট্ট্যম)
This is a Indian Classical Dance, originated in Tamil Nadu(South India). It's started with some 'Adavus'(Basic Steps of Bharatanatyam) for beginners.
- Followings are the ten important Adavus that a new student is asked to practice thoroghly:
- Tatta Adavu
- Natta Adavus
- Mardita Adavus
- Tattimitti Adavus
- Tirumanam Adavus
- Murka Adavus
- Jyoti Adavus
- Kuditamitta Adavu
- Mandi Adavu
- Sarikal Adavu
- Now some leg postures in Bharatanatyam are:
SAMAPADAM |
- SAMAPADAM: It is the basic posture in Bharatantyam in which the body should be straight, legs slightly bent at knees and toes facing sideways.
